Applications
Discflo's disc pump is used for pumping
the following types of fluids in the food and sugar processing
industries. A more detailed list of applications is given in
the table below.
Viscous and high solids
fluids: eg molasses, sugar slurries with up to 80% solids,
pet food sludge, brewery waste, slaughter house waste, etc
Abrasive fluids: eg
sugar slurries, meat waste with bones, blood, oyster shell
slurry, etc
Delicate and shear
sensitive foodstuff: eg citrus oil, corn kernels, sugar
crystals, rice, fruit, etc
Large and/or stringy
solids: by widening the spacing between the discs in the
Discpac, solids up to 20" [50mm] can be pumped, eg
whole chickens
